I think I've found the one: Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Foundation.

Wednesday, 15 June 2016

Yeah, that's right...I'm making the bold statement and saying I think this may be the best foundation...ever. Not that i've actually tried all the foundations in the world, but i have tried quite a few in my time and none have wowed me like this one has. If your not a foundation lover then this post is definitely not for you. Get ready for a whole lot'a swooning!

So lets talk packaging first of all. I love it (surprisingly). I think it looks so luxe and classy. The bottle is glass and has a bit of weight to it and isn't totally clear; kind of frosty. I just think it is slick and very chanel! Also.. it has a pump! Thank you chanel, thank you! I cannot tell you how frustrating it is to use a foundation such as Nars Sheer Glow which doesn't come with a pump. Mess central!

Moving on to the actual product! So as the name suggests, this is a glowy foundation but not as I've previously known it.  It doesn't look wet when you apply it, if you know what I mean. It isn't shiny but instead offers a 'lit from within' sort of glow. Which i'm all over (who isn't?). The texture of this foundation is actually quite thick but it blends so nicely and flawlessly and leaves your skin feeling hydrated as well as looking god damn amazing! I love the way it wears as well. When I first put this stuff on in the morning I love the flawless finish it offers, but by the end of the day, after a good 7 hours, my skin looks dewy and plump and I love that look also!

Can we also just appreciate the scent! OMG this stuff smells bloody amazing! It has the beautiful Chanel scent; fruity and fresh!

When it comes to the coverage of this product, I would say it offers medium coverage which gives a 'my skin but better' look. But it can be built up really easily into a full coverage.

Lastly I want to talk about the shade. As you may have already noticed, I am a pale gal! Very pale actually! I don't know why because my mum and dad have more olivy skin and tan up like a dream, but hey ho.. what can you do! Anyway this foundation is the best colour match I have ever found! I can't really touch drugstore foundations unless it's the middle of summer time due to the fact they just don't go pale enough for me. But this 'beige' is the perfect colour. Ironically it isn't actually that beige! I hear beige and think yellow (i don't know why) but actually this foundation has the perfect pink tones and yellow tones which balance your skin tone and actually look like skin! I wear N10.

So theres a lot of positives for this bad boy! If i was to touch on negatives, which I don't think there are many, I would say:

- It is quite expensive, costing £36. But I think it is defo worth it!
- I personally love the packaging but some may not see it as travel friendly due to the weight and worry of breakages.
- There are only 9 shades (that I can see) which isn't actually that many and therefore it could be seen as a bit restricted. I would definitely advise going to a Chanel counter and having a good swatch! The ladies are usually lovely and always happy to help! The lady I brought mine from put me a whole face of foundation on and also some lipgloss and blush before I even committed to buying.

So there you have it, my holy grail (ahhh). Let me know if you've tried this foundation or any other products in the Les Beiges range. Or give me some recommendations for other foundations.. I am always up for some enabling!

Lots of love,
Jade

Hello Lovelies! Today's post is a review-kinda-style post where I will mainly be swooning over the products but also giving my honest opinion on them! So can we just start by appreciating how gorgeous the packaging of the overall product, as well as the individual pieces, is! OOOOH MY GODD I am completely in love.

I was very lucky and received this as a Christmas present from my mum and dad after mentioning how beautiful it was as a passing comment really! I cant explain how excited I was when I opening the wrapping paper on Christmas day and saw burgundy and gold appear from underneath.. I knew straight away what it was (is it obvious I had been lusting over it online for a good while? hey.. I'm not even sorry).

I completely did not expect to get this gift as it is just soo expensive and that is why I was so shocked! But I must admit I love it and I think it is the most amazing gift! So lets talk about what's inside..

  • MAGIC CREAM (Mini)
  • TAKE IT ALL OFF (Mini)
  • WONDERGLOW (Mini)
  • MULTI MIRACLE GLOW (Mini)
  • SUPERMODEL BODY (Mini)
  • GODDESS SKIN CLAY MASK (Mini)
  • K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick: Penelope Pink (Mini)
  • MATTE REVOLUTION Lipstick: Red Carpet Red (Full Size)
  • LIP MAGIC (Full Size)
  • ROCK ‘N’ KOHL Eye Liner: Supernova (Mini)
  • NOCTURNAL CAT EYES Eye Shadow: On The Prowl (Full Size)
  • MAGIC NIGHT CREAM (Mini)

  • I have tried all of these products now and as I expected there's none that I dislike. What do I like the most though? It's got to be the magic cream, magic night cream, matte revolution lipstick and mini K.I.S.S.I.N.G lipstick.

As someone who has very temperamental skin which is really dry in some places and slightly greasy in others (joy) I was super excited to try both of the magic creams! As you are probably aware, these creams in full size are crazy expensive and although I've wanted to try them for ages, I've never been able to justify the price! But if I'm honest they are actually worth the money (if you have that sort of money spare). My skin has levelled out since using them and the dry patches, which usually my foundation would cling to, have seemed to disappear and my face has felt truly moisturised. The day cream is light yet moisturising whereas the night cream has a more gel-like consistency which offers total moisture over night.

The lipsticks.. well they were probably the things I was most excited about! The Matte revolution lipstick is just the perfect red with a pinky undertone. It is seriously long-lasting yet isn't chalky and uncomfortable to wear like Mac Ruby Woo. It has fast become my favourite lipstick! And the mini Kissing Lipstick is the most gorgeous nude and although it is small, it is easy to apply and its so damn cute!

Other products that I also have come to love are the Wonderglow and the Clay Mask which again have made my face feel fabulous! Overall I love this set! It allows you to try some of Charlotte's most loved and popular products in mini form. Obviously I know the price tag is a little outrageous but I hope that this post has helped you decide which products are worth the money! If you can't afford the whole set.. maybe go for one of the lipsticks or splurge on the face creams!

Hope you've like reading this post! Let me know you're favs!

    Elegant Touch Review.

Hello Lovelies! Today's post is a beauty post on one of my new favourite brands- Elegant Touch. This is a brand I'd seen a few times but never tried until this Christmas. Now I know what you're thinking.. here's some more fake nails that will ping off the minute I move. If I'm honest I thought the same, as every brand of false nails I'd tried before lasted a day if that. But these honestly last for ages!

When I was Christmas shopping in December a girl who served me had the Christmas nails on. She raved about them and said they last for over a week and don't chip. So I popped them on my Christmas list. And these are the nails I got (I also got the Christmas ones).

I can definitely say that these are the best false nails I've tried. The blue ones (here) are my favourite and I got so many compliments on these from people who thought they were acrylics. I put the blue ones on, on NYE and they stayed on until like the 14th with me only needing to re-glue 1 in that time. I've now got the shiny long grey ones on and they are holding up well too.

My only criticism is that the grey mattes lost their matte-ness over time and looked a bit tatty, but the shiny ones are defo a winner! Also I'd advise buying the glue separately as that is meant to hold the nails on longer than the adhesive tabs.

So girlies, when you've next got a special occasion or just fancy some pretty nails, I'd definitely recommend Elegant Touch. To check out their site click here

    Jade xx

    Pamper yourself on NYE!

    Wednesday, 31 December 2014

Hello Lovelies! HAPPY NEW YEAR'S EVE! I hope you all have an amazing night whatever you are doing, whether you are out partying or having a cosy night in :) I'm still undecided on what I'm doing tonight (always leaving things to the last minute haha). Anyway I hope the new year brings happiness to you all!

Today I decided to blog this super cute Lush set that I got for Christmas because who doesn't love a good pamper before a night out! Sometimes I love getting ready more than actually the going out part haha! I do love Lush, each one of these bath bombs/fizzers/shower gels smells absolutely amazing. I've been having baths like they're going out of fashion haha.

This set just made me so happy because it came with some little badges saying 'naughty' or 'nice' and a letter and stickers! Call me a big kid, but I love stuff like this!

Anyway, I hope you have a lovely NYE and that you can pamper yourself before hand!
Lots of Love, See you next year :O

This Week's Favourite! - NARS Sheer Glow

     Where to buy this: HERE

So.. I think I might be a bit late to the party on this one! I have been watching a lot of Tanya Burr's youtube videos lately, her makeup tutorials especially, and I noticed she kept mentioning this foundation. So I whapped it on my birthday list and was very happy to receive it from my sister!

Now, I'm not going to lie, at first I didn't like it. I thought it looked too much like I had foundation on (I know that's a strange thing to say) as I like the no-makeup makeup look haha. But after a couple of weeks of trying it out, I have changed my mind and actually love it now. It goes on so beautifully as long as you cleanse, tone and moisturise before hand (which I am sometimes too lazy to do).

As you can probably tell by the name, this foundation really makes your skin glow and leaves a dewy effect which I love! I've also realised you only need a small amount and as long as you don't over do it, it gives a lovely airbrushed finish without looking too heavy! I am soo glad I kept persevering with this foundation because it has fast become my go-to foundation.

Now I know you are probably thinking 'how much is this product?', and the answer is £31 which I know not everyone wants/can pay for a foundation. Therefore, I have found a foundation which I think gives a similar dewy effect and is also longwearing. I would recommend Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation

Let me know how you feel about both of these foundations and which other foundations you would recommend!

    Lots of Love, Jade xxxx
